DEAR HOLY FAMILY,
AND SO IT BEGINS…
The vision that we have for growing our facilities to support our faith community is becoming a reality. Over this past week, they have been hard at work scraping the ground and digging the footings for the construction behind our gymnasium for temporary classrooms and future storage.
This project enables us to remove the mobile classroom and begin construction of our Parish Administration & Formation Center to the east of our current school building. We have selected our contractor, R.Berti & Sons Construction, and contracts will be finalized and sent to the diocese for final approval in the coming weeks. Before winter, you will see the broader vision of our project becoming a reality.
Please continue to pray for the success of our project and our Holy Family Parish family.
Joyfully in Christ,
Father John
DEAR HOLY FAMILY,
So much has been going on here at Holy Family for the last few weeks! Thanks to your prayers and support, the temporary classroom addition on the north side of the gym is completed. A special thank you to everyone who helped with some of the finishing work, enabling us to save some money on the completion costs. Because of you, we have now moved the eighth graders into the new space and out of the mobile unit. Once we completed that transition, we had the mobile unit removed from the property -- the final step leading to the Groundbreaking Ceremony.
On Sunday, November 1st, Bishop Hicks presided over the Groundbreaking for the new Holy Family Administration and Formation Center. Thank you to everyone that braved the chilly weather to join us for the ceremony. Bishop Hicks blessed the site, prayed for the project's success and the safety of those involved with the build.
Bishop Hicks, Father Dennis, Father Nestor, and I, with members of the parish community, turned over the first shovels full of dirt to officially mark the beginning of the project's construction phase.
I'm sure many of you wondered if and when this day would come. Again, I have to thank you for making this day possible through your prayers and faithful commitment to your pledges. The real work is beginning. The construction zone is fenced off, the machinery is on-site, and the ground preparation is in process. I will continue to update you on the progress of the building.
I pray for all of you. Stay well. Please pray for me, our entire parish family, and the safe and successful completion of our parish project.
Joyfully in Christ,
Father John
